52nd Annual Show
The Kusamura Bonsai Club hosted their 52nd Annual Show on the weekend of April 21 - 22, 2012. It featured a demonstration by Tim Kong on Saturday. Club members Jerry Carpenter, Michael Greenstein, Lonnie McCormick, and Stephanie North worked on two Shimpaku junipers during the Sunday demonstrations.
Here are some of the trees on display during our show. Click on any image to see it in full size.
Shohin are smaller sized bonsai, between 3" and 8" tall. Here are a collection of shohin that were shown at our show this year.
Accent plants are used to compliment larger bonsai - to add a bit of scale and some color. Accent plants may be made up of many different plants, from grasses, to flowering plants. Our club usually has great accent plants, and 2012 was no exception.
