Story of the Tree

Bill purchased this tree in 2015 and repotted it a year later, allowing it to elongate before pruning. A windstorm broke the original pot, and the tree was tied down on its pedestal to keep it safe. Over several years, Bill carefully reduced the foliage to achieve a graceful literati style. Valerie Monroe wired the tree in 2025.

On September 9, 2025, this cedar was displayed at Bill's Celebration of Life — a fitting tribute to the patience, craft, and quiet dedication he brought to his trees.
