Story of the Tree

I acquired this tree as material from Gordon Deeg, who obtained it from Sumigawa Nursery in Cotati. I brought it to a workshop with Yasuo Mitsuya and Kathy Shaner, where it began to take shape. This tree is a true traveler — it has made the journey to Hawaii and back to California.

My most recent work was done with Peter Tea. The tree has just been repotted into a beautiful blue container made by Michael Hagedorn, and it continues to develop.
