Story of the Tree

This tree began as an air layer taken from a larger plant originally owned by John Planting. The layer was set in April 2022 and separated in October 2022 — six months to become its own tree.

Keeping a healthy tree in such a small pot takes some ingenuity: it lives nestled in a tray of pumice, where it grows extensive roots that need trimming back twice a year.
