Story of the Tree

My visit to the Pacific Bonsai Expo 2024 was, without a doubt, an experience that marked a before and after in my relationship with the art of bonsai. From the moment I stepped through the event's doors, I felt surrounded by the magic of a fascinating world, full of stories and ancient techniques that converge in the creation of these small trees. Each bonsai was a work of art, a manifestation of patience, dedication, and knowledge.

I wandered through the various exhibitions, admiring the precision and balance of the miniature trees that were displayed with such care. The variety of species and styles amazed me, from the most majestic to the most delicate. The event not only allowed me to see the beauty of bonsais but also helped me understand the effort it takes to cultivate and maintain them. It was a life lesson in every branch and leaf.

However, what truly made my experience unforgettable happened at the end of the tour, in the sales section. There, among the many available options, I found a small olive Shohin tree that instantly stole my heart. Its delicate yet strong appearance, its tiny leaves, and its perfectly formed structure left me speechless. It was as if the tree had been designed especially for me. I felt an immediate connection with it, a need to bring it home. I couldn’t resist: it had to be mine.

The olive tree, with its character and elegance, seemed to capture the essence of bonsai in its purest form. At that moment, I knew that this small tree would be a perfect addition to my collection. No matter the effort or time I would have to invest in its care, this Shohin olive represented the opportunity to begin a new chapter in my journey as a bonsai enthusiast. So, with a big smile on my face and my heart full of excitement, I took it home, knowing that, just like the other bonsais at the event, this one would also become a part of my story.
