Trident Maple – Grown on Its Own Terms

Botanical Name: Acer buergerianum

Common Name: Trident Maple

Story of the Tree

This Trident Maple began its journey in a 2-inch liner, purchased from a Santa Rosa nursery around the year 2000.

Unlike trees that are bent and wired into position, this one was allowed to grow naturally, and over time, it developed a crooked, character-filled shape—a form all its own.

As the years passed, it also formed a beautifully aged bark, a texture that only time can create. The tree stands now as a quiet tribute to patient observation, gentle care, and the choice to let nature lead.
