Story of the Tree

I purchased this tree at a club sale around 2016. It came with a companion — a tree believed to have been air-layered from this same trunk, just above where this tree begins. The layering happened years before either of us acquired them. Today, the companion tree is owned by Mark, also a Kusamura member. Two trees from one trunk, still in the same club.

This tree was originally a bit taller. It has recently been repotted into what I consider its forever pot.
