Some trees are chosen with years of thought and study.
Others… just happen.

This White Alder was picked up at the Mammoth auction just two months ago. Richard hadn’t flagged it in the catalog, didn’t check it during the preview, and wasn’t even planning on bidding.

But as the auctioneer called out, “Going once…” something about it caught his eye.
He glanced up, looked at the tree for all of two seconds, raised his card—
and heard the words, “Sold!”

And just like that, the journey with this Alder began.
